Before I begin, I must mention that there is nothing wrong with being old-fashioned, you may have a different perspective on most things that your friends feel and think differently. It's sad that people who are old-fashioned are ridiculed just because they think the old ways are better; it's a free world and everybody deserves the freedom of thought and expression.
Here are some tell-tale signs that show your friends (or you) have an old-fashioned approach towards life.
Girls look better in salwar-kameez than jeans:
Most girls who have well-toned bodies do look pretty in any attire whatsoever. Confidence is the key to good-looks. So if your friend holds only those girls high who wear salwar-kameez, then they are certainly old-fashioned.

Ladies must not work:
If you believe that men are the ones who wear pants in the house and so THEY must go to work and not the women, then I'm sorry to wake you up to reality – you are old-fashioned! Basically, this is really an old-fashioned way of thinking that women are born to be homely creatures all their lives.
Love marriage is rebellious:
Most people still think having a love marriage means you are disrespectful of your parents and don't trust their choices. That's not true. Having a love marriage doesn't make you rebellious; it only means you are mature enough to make the right choice by yourself. But that doesn't take away the fact that your parents still know what's best for you.
Cell phones are only meant to ‘call':
Another old-fashioned way of thinking is that cell phones are only meant for emergency calls and they do not need internet connection. Well that would've been true for cell phones but these days we have "smart phones"... Need I say more?

Shopping at malls and/or online is waste of time and money:
The truth is actually quite contrary. Shopping in bazaars can get really time-consuming and confusing for a new-age homemaker. So, you could call this view old-fashioned.
Beauty salons are a waste of money:
I agree that beauty salons are a bit overpriced. But they definitely work when your body needs rejuvenation and some TLC. Old-fashioned people believe in home-remedies but that doesn't mean cosmetic products don't do the trick!
If you have a friend or a relative who shares these views then be assured they are old-fashioned and next time when you're with them be mindful of their nature and behave accordingly. Lest they start giving you gyaan on how U-lipo is a terrible option. Until next time! :P
