  • Get rid of food spills and keep it clean at all times. Leaving the range dirty after a cooking session is not good for the appliance.
  • A stove with removable parts should be cleaned be warm water and detergent, especially the area around the igniter.

Microwaves

  • Remove food stains on a regular basis to prevent inefficiency and occasional sparkling.
  • Food items covered with foil or sealed containers should not be heated.
  • Metallic utensils or even the ones with a metallic border risk a fire hazard if placed in the microwave. So, refrain from doing so.
  • Do not cover the top of the microwave while in use.

Mixer Grinder

  • Grinding hot food items in the mixer grinder may not be a good idea. Allow things to cool before grinding them.
  • If the locks of the jar are loose, they affect the blades of the machine. So check them beforehand.
  • Switching off the mixer while at high speed can result in the premature break-down of the blades. Instead, reduce the speed gradually, and then turn the mixer off.

Refrigerators

  • Overloading your refrigerator eventually puts pressure on the compressor. So avoid doing that.
  • A good way of keeping in the cold is cleaning the door’s rubber gaskets.
  • Get the compressor of your refrigerator checked every six months.
