Compliment Your Big Eyes With This Eyeliner Shape

Big eyes are really a blessing, but applying liquid eyeliner to big eyes is not an easy job. If you mess up a bit or go too far, you’ll end up looking like a raccoon. Even the most experienced makeup artist can goof up once in a while when applying liner to big eyes. But it hardly takes a few clean strokes and lots of practice (yeah, lots of it) to nail the perfect eyeliner every time. Liquid eyeliner can really accentuate your eyes especially if they are naturally big. Here’s a quick tutorial to help you learn the nick-knacks!

For this tutorial you’re just going to need a sponge-tip liquid eye liner. The sponge-tip will ensure you get a clean and precise application.

Step one: To start off, gently pull the skin next to the outer edge of your eye, and start applying your eye liner in a thin line. While using liquid eyeliner, precision is important. For better control, place your hand firmly on the apple of your cheek. The support will be useful during the application.

Step two: Keep your eye half open so that you can continually see how the liner will look when the eye is opened. Some people like to shut their eye completely; but I find that keeping the eye half open gives a better result.

Step three: Start from the outer corner and make a thin line right up till the center of your eye. Be sure to stick very close to the lash line. You don’t want to look like a panda, right? Now start from the inner corner of the eye and cover the whole lash line all the way across. Make sure to keep the line really thin and smooth. Repeat the same on your lower lash line but cover only the outer third part of your eye.

Step four: Finally, once you’re done lining both your eyes, it’s time to wing it! Make a small wing on the outer corner of your eye making sure to be in line with the upper lash line. Winging out the liner makes your eyes look brighter and elongated by attracting attention towards the outside, so they don’t look too big.
