You may have tried this and that and this and that, and guess what? Summer isn’t over! Your tan keeps reappearing! If you haven’t been applying sunscreen before facing that dreaded OUTSIDE, then now’s a perfect time for you to work on getting rid of your tan, because summer is reaching its final curve. Here are a few homemade remedies to get rid of that stubborn summer tan.

Baking soda and salt
Mix two tablespoons of mashed papaya with ¼ tablespoon of baking soda and ¼ tablespoon of salt. Mix it and scrub the paste on your exposed areas. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off with cool water. The salt will scrub away dead skin while papaya will polish the newly appeared skin.

Turmeric and yogurt
Add a pinch of turmeric (haldi) to cold yogurt and apply it to your face, neck and arms, after a hot day. This will not only remove tan but will also cool you down.

Mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with china clay, cold milk and basil paste. Apply this to the affected areas and wash off after half an hour to reveal soft and supple skin.
Grate half a cucumber and mix it with 2 tbsp of milk powder and a few drops of lemon juice. This will help in lightening your skin and hydrating it as well.

Mix 2 tsp of oatmeal in ½ cup mashed ripe papaya and 1 tsp honey. Apply this mixture as a scrub and wash off soon after. This is a great exfoliator to get rid of your tan.
Coconut is nature’s gift to us all! It has immense health benefits on the inside as well as on the outside. Drinking coconut water, we all know, helps cool you down on a hot summer day. But don’t just throw the coconut away! Work the white fleshy part of the coconut into a paste and apply it on your skin to get rid of your tan in a jiffy!
