Swiss rolls are everyone’s favourite; these party pleasers are a delicious and decadent addition to any table spread. And now you can make your very own Swiss roll and enjoy it every single day!

1 cup castor sugar
150 gms butter
Half tsp vanilla essence
1 and ½ cup refined flour (Maida)
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup milk
½ cup sugar syrup
3 tbsp jam of your choice
Method: Preheat oven at 180 degrees. In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar till fluffy. Add butter, flour, baking powder, and milk and mix well. Put the mixture in a greased tray and baking for 20 minutes. Once the sponge sheet has cooled down, brush it with sugar syrup. Then spread the jam evenly and then roll the sponge sheet from one side to the other to make a large roll. Wrap the Swiss roll in a cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours. Once chilled, cut and serve your delicious Swiss roll with a cup of steaming hot chocolate!
