Squats and lunges followed by squats and lunges, results unsatisfying? Well, it’s time to rev-up that exercise routine for your lower body! Try these easy but effective leg exercises to tone your leg muscles and make you look and feel amazing, waist down as well.

This exercise involves standing and holding your arms straight out in front of your body at shoulder level, parallel to the floor. Raise your right leg off the floor, and hold it there. Push your hips back and lower your body as far as you can. Pause, then push your body back to the starting position.

Dumbbell split jump
This is one more exercise that is extremely helpful for toning your legs. Hold a pair of dumbbells at arm’s length next to your sides, palms facing each other. From a standing position, lower your body into a split squat. Quickly switch directions and jump with enough force to propel both feet off the floor. Repeat, alternating back and forth with each repetition.

Farmer’s walk on toes
This exercise is quite easy, in fact one of the easiest but very effective. It involves, heavy dumbbells in each hand at the sides in the rest position. Now raise your heels and walk forward with the dumbbells in your hands and your heels raised for about sixty seconds.
Single-arm kettlebell swing
This exercise involves holding a kettlebell in your hand with an overhand grip. Bend your knees and hips and lower your torso to a 45 degree angle to the floor. Swing the kettlebell between your legs with one of your hands and then bring it up to your chest level as you rise up to a standing position. Then squat back down and repeat the routine.
