Homemade Scrubs For Getting Rid Of Blackheads
Blackheads can be so annoying and getting rid of them is a huge challenge! These pesky little ‘heads' occur when our pores become clogged with excess sebum, dirt, pollution and dead skin cells. But scrubbing your face excessively with store-bought cosmetic scrubs will strip your skin of natural oils causing it to get confused and produce more sebum which leads to the vicious cycle. Excess sebum = blackheads. But we can't obviously venture out with our nose/face looking like it has got polka dots on it, can we? Nope. So here are some homemade scrubs that are gentle on your skin, yet effective in getting rid of blackheads.
Gram flour (besan):
Gram flour or besan is extremely good for our skin and useful for getting rid of blackheads and whiteheads. Make a thick paste with gram flour and rose water and apply it to your face on blackhead-affected areas, massaging in upward strokes.
Grind rock salt coarsely and mix with a tsp of coconut oil. Scrub your face gently with it to remove blackheads without leaving a scar.
Sugar and lemon:
Mix some table sugar in 1 tablespoon lemon juice and use it to scrub your blackheads away.
Grind a handful of walnuts coarsely and mix some fresh cream in it. Apply on your face and massage in circular motions.
