We all at least own one or two delicate gadgets that require extra TLC. Whether travelling or chilling at home, we can never live without our precious technology dose. Be it our smartphones or high-end cameras to capture all the worldly scenes we encounter. But not storing your gadgets well will leave you with unavoidable breakages. So here we are again, coming to your rescue! In this feature we’re going to show you how to keep or store your delicate gadgets safely. Don’t wait anymore now, scroll down…
Everybody boasts of having the best and the latest smartphone with the latest software updates. But sadly they aren’t as smart themselves as their phones are. Storing a smartphone needs special care as those pieces of plastic, glass and metal are really expensive and delicate. What must be done? A smartphone safety case is your answer. Opt for a case which is made of eco-friendly material like leather or any soft but safe fabric. This is pretty much all you need to do to care for your phone…and of course, the monthly cleaning.
“It’s such a nice and sunny day! I should probably go out…but first, let me take a selfie with my new DSLR!” You get the picture. So it’s the Pintrest, Tumblr, and Instagram age and everybody has miraculously turned into a part-time photo-journo or wild-life photographer. Whatever you click, be sure to keep your precious DSLR safe in a good bag. It may be an expense but invest in a good quality camera bag with lots of room for all the accessories.
There are normal people and then there are, what some people call, the ‘gadget freaks’. What’s the difference between the two? Normal people own a good techie gadget, and the ‘gadget freaks’ own almost every gadget out there in the market. We all have smartphones, and probably desktops or laptops, but the freaks will own a phone or two, a tab, a lappy, play stations 1-4, huge LED TV, high-end cameras, etc. Such people need to be extra careful while storing and using their gadgets. If you have a tab or a laptop that you can’t travel without, use a case made of velvety leather with a lining of micro fibre cloth inside, and that should take care of it.
For people who have a watch fetish, note that you must keep your watch away from moisture. So when you aren’t wearing your watch, store them in a large box or in separate small boxes with micro fibre cloth wrapped around it.
Another important thing that we all would literally die without is our precious earphones or head phones. Yes I know, these aren’t exactly gadgets but accessories; but you do need to take extra care of these things. Never roll up your head phones and dump them in your bag pack. Always store them in a safety pouch or a box if you have any. And don’t forget to clean them regularly. Same goes for pen drives; never throw them in your drawer or bag, once it catches dust, and it’s gone forever.
