How To Wear Or Style Your Hijab For Eid
Eid-ul-Adha or Bakra Eid is a hop-skip-and-jump away and Muslims all over the world are busy preparing for the big festival. Apart from being a day to commemorate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), Eid is a day when people reach out to all their families and friends and celebrate the joyous occasion with a huge feast. Naturally, feast means party and celebration; and no celebration is complete without getting decked up for it, right? So here are some fancy hijab styles that are perfect for the special occasion of Eid. I found them on the YouTube channels of my favorite hijab stylists Hijab Hills (by Ruba) and Dina Tokio!
This hijab style uses a floral print scarf and is great for an occasion like Eid. Wear an under-scarf and adjust it around your face as you like it. Then proceed with the following steps:
Step 1: Take your floral print hijab and drape it over your head. Now making sure that one side is longer than the other side. Pin the smaller side to the longer side just under your chin (as shown in the picture). You can adjust the scarf around your face and get the desired shape.
Step 2: Now take the longer side and bring it on the other side going over the shorter one. Then drape it over your head from this side and bring that whole section of the scarf on the other side.
Step 3: Once you bring the scarf over your head, drape it as per the shape of your face. You can adjust the hijab to make your face look slimmer or broader as per your wishes.
Step 4: Secure the hijab on either sides with straight hijab pins and taking the loose end that's hanging down make a simple knot. Voila! How easy was that!

Elegant satin hijab:
Satin is a rich material that has a sheen of its own. It's very flowy and looks extremely elegant so it makes for a great hijab look when styled with a satin scarf.
Step 1: Drape your satin scarf over your head and adjust it as per the shape of your face. Make sure one side is shorter and other is longer in a 1/4th to 3/4th ratio. Now bringing the smaller side over your head from the front, pin it on top your head with a straight hijab pin.
Step 2: Next, bring the longer side over your head going over the shorter side as shown in the picture.
Step 3: Drape the longer side over your head and make as many folds as you want. Bring over to the other side of your head creating a loop in the front.
Step 4: As a finishing touch, tuck the loose end into the loop from below and bring it out from the top. Isn't it such a girly and elegant look?
If you want to style your hijab with a square scarf instead of a long scarf then you must try this style. It's super easy and looks quite edgy and chic.
Step 1: Fold the scarf over into a triangle (don't be worried about being precise, a roughly made triangle will do just fine).
Step 2: Drape it around your face as per the shape of your face. You can even play around with the way the scarf frames your face. Once you're happy with the look, pin it underneath your chin.
Step 3: You'll notice that the two pointy ends are hanging down the front. Grab one of the sides and bring it over the other and drape it around the head and pin it.
Step 4: Grab the other end that's hanging loose and wrap it around your neck or tuck it in your top or kameez. We love the final outcome.
