Microwave Recipes For Those Lazy Winter Days

The microwave has been relegated to serve as a simple heater of leftovers, but trust me it’s good for so much more! These poor microwave ovens have been taking criticism for no good reason – I mean, come on! They’re called “ovens” for a reason, and they can create meals equal to anything from a standard oven. Ingredients:

1/4th cup popcorn

Salt as per taste

Method: Place the popcorn in a medium sized brown paper bag, fold the open end once and staple it with just one pin (ONE pin won’t affect the performance of your microwave or contaminate your food the way cello-tape does). Microwave for 2 minutes, or until the popping slows down. Open carefully and empty the contents of the bag on a plate. Sprinkle salt and serve!
