Then, use a soft bristled toothbrush and rub on the discolouration. Finally wash it off with lukewarm water and moisturize. Practising this routine twice on a daily basis will get rid of any stains in a few days.

Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda paste:

Mix baking soda and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (you can find this at your local chemist or, you can also opt for lemon juice) turning it into a paste-like texture. Apply this mixture on your nails, scrub lightly with a toothbrush and leave it on for about 3-5 minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this method at an interval of two weeks, for best results.

Whitening toothpastes might or might not whiten your teeth, but they definitely whiten your nails. Preferably opt for the white coloured whitening toothpaste as opposed to the gel versions. Apply a bit of toothpaste on your nails, and using a toothbrush, scrub for about 2 minutes. You might have to do this a couple of times depending on how tough the discoloration or stain is.
