1 pack of chocolate Oreo cookies
1 medium sized loaf of sponge cake
1 pack of fresh cream or whipping cream
1 pack cream cheese
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ cup milk (room temperature)
Chocolate sauce for garnish
Method: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with whipping cream and vanilla essence until the mixture thickens and forms soft peaks. Add the sugar to the bowl slowly and continue to beat until the sugar is dissolved and the frosting is thick. Set aside in the refrigerator. In a large and deep serving bowl, arrange a layer of Oreo cookies and sprinkle some milk on them, then add a layer of the cream cheese frosting and top it up with thin slices of sponge cake. Add some more frosting and arrange more cookies over it. Repeat the same steps (alternating layers of cookies and sponge cake, with the frosting to separate them) until the bowl is full till the brim; just ensure that the last layer is of the frosting. Garnish with crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate sauce and pop it in the fridge for an hour. Your Oreo cookie trifle is ready!
