Laser photo facials:

Laser facial

Laser facial being executed with a hand-held device

There are two types of laser photo facials i.e. LED (light-emitting diode) and IPL (intense-pulsed light). An LED facial is offered at any day spa and involves usage of a narrow spectrum light that boosts collagen which gives a plumper and younger-looking skin. It is safe, relaxing and completely painless. IPL facial on the other hand involves infusing a bright light at high energy levels through a hand-held device. It is done to treat skin conditions like brown spots, broken capillaries, freckles, spider veins and redness. It may be uncomfortable on the skin. A radio frequency facial is another procedure for skin tightening that is especially done for people with sensitive skin. This facial involves a three-step procedure of ultrasound, vacuum and electrical currents. These facials are not 100 per cent fool proof.

This therapy is effective and quick.

Ribbon facelift: Ribbon facelift is the newest procedure that takes care of wrinkles, and other signs of aging. It uses a ribbon with hooks that attaches itself to the tissues in the skin. A small incision is made behind the ear and the process is carried out from here. The time involved is 30-45 minutes. The ribbon is bio-absorbable and dissolves in the skin. Although it is a developing technology, it is quite effective. Results can be seen instantly and the procedure is non-invasive.
