Winter is here! Which means hot chocolate milk every-single-day for breakfast until New Years! But if you’re like me I bet you’ll be easily bored by the morning staple. But not to worry fellas; I have the perfect recipe for winter-time breakfast – toasted marshmallow shots! It hardly takes 5 minutes to make these and they taste just like heaven. No, really… they do.
So here’s the recipe!
One large packet of marshmallows
Hot chocolate milk or your favorite morning beverage like cappuccino
Method: All you need to do is use a fork (or two, if you’re clumsy like I am) and toast them on your stove flame. Be sure to get them toasted nicely till golden brown from the sides and bottom. Next, place your marshmallows on a plate (bottom down, of course); you’ll notice that the top part of the marshmallows would have caved in – so they look like mini shot glasses! Now for the interesting part, once your marshmallows have completely cooled down, pour your hot chocolate milk or cappuccino into the marshmallow and quickly take the shot! Whoop! Wasn’t that yum!
These shots are perfect not just for breakfast but even for parties! Use your favourite liqueur in place of hot chocolate but make sure to be really quick to take your shot. Even waiting for a bit could make your milk or coffee or liqueur to be absorbed into the marshmallow and that would steal the fun. Don’t forget to eat the marshmallows afterwards…or save some for us
