Threading:

Threading your eyebrows can be a bit tricky at first but it’s easy once you get the hang of it. Sit in a comfortable position with a large mirror in front of you. Make sure the place is well-lit so that you can easily see every strand of your hair on the brow.

Step 1: Take an eye pencil or kohl pencil and make the desired shape around the edges of the eyebrows. If you’re wondering what should be your eyebrow shape, refer to this article - How to get the perfect brows for your face shape

Step 2: Take a normal white thread of about 2 ft and tie its ends together to make a loop. Now hold the end with the knot in one hand and the other end in the other hand. Twist the loop a few times to wind it up. It should look something like this:

Step 3: Try practising on your legs by keeping the twisted portion of the loop on the area that you want to thread. And holding the loop tightly on both ends, move the fingers of your left hand in a ‘open-close-open’ movement. This movement traps the hair in the loop. Once the hair is trapped slightly pull at them to get them uprooted.

Remember, practice makes perfect, so try doing it as many times until you feel confident to do it on your brow.

Tweezing:

This method is relatively easier than any other. All you need is a pair of good tweezers with a slant edge.

Step 1: Position yourself in a brightly lit area with a large mirror in front of you.

Step 2: Start by making a fine line using an eye pencil and define your arc and highest point as desired. Refer to this article for help - How to get the perfect brows for your face shape

Step 3: Now start working with the tweezers beginning right under your arc. Try to grab one hair at a time and pull your skin taut as you pluck it out.

Step 4: Make sure you pause after pulling a few strands of hair to see if you’re going in the right direction. Only pluck the hair outside the borders of the line that you made with the pencil. Apply a soothing aloe vera gel or rub an ice cube if you feel the pain.
