How Often Do You Change Your Sanitary Products?
Being on your period is total pain, literally! But having to change your pads and tampons every few hours is even more troublesome. On those low flow days, you'd rather wear a single sanitary napkin for hours and hours on end rather than changing it. But, the fact remains no matter how busy or how bored you are, you have to change your sanitary pad every 6 hours or less, and if you use tampons you have to change them every 2 hours. Even on days when your flow is less, you must pay heed to this hygiene rule to safeguard yourself from the buildup of infection.

How Do You Dispose Your Sanitary Products?
Are you one who just dumps the pad or tampon into the toilet pot and flushes is away thinking this is the most hygienic thing to do? Well, news flash! You are so wrong! Never ever flush your sanitary products down the toilet, for they might completely clog the drainage system.
Other than that, just dumping your used and soiled pad into a dustbin isn't very hygienic. Used pads soiled with blood turn into a breeding ground for disease-causing bacteria which can harm humans and pets. Make it a point to always roll up your pad so that the soiled side is not visible and then cover this nicely with a sheet of newspaper or any other paper, before dumping it in the bin. Also make sure that the bin you use gets emptied on a daily basis.

How Often Do You Replace Your Underwear?
If your underwear's elastic has reached the end of its life or if it is stained and the stains won't come off or your underwear has evident holes in them, then it is more than obvious that they need to be chucked out right now! But, please don't wait till either of these things happens. Underwear is not like a pair of jeans or top that you can save for years and then call it vintage. The most you should use one pair is about a year or so, after that it is best advised that you dispose them off, for it is in constant contact with your intimate parts. Same goes for bras; you but naturally need to get a new pair when your current one doesn't fit you properly or has begun to sag. Even if your bra fits you well, it is advised that you buy a new bra every year or year-and-a-half.
Please do make it a point to follow these rules and stay healthy and safe! :)
