6 Perfect Reasons Why Having A Small Wedding Is A Better Idea
The big fat Indian wedding is the dream for most girls in the country, but the more I go to other people's weddings, the more I feel that do I personally, (when it is my time) really want to whole fanfare? So that got me weighing the pros and cons of an extravagant wedding versus a simple one. And guess what? Simple small scale wedding won. Here is my take on why having a small wedding is a better idea.

Surrounded By People You Love
The number one thing that I love about a small wedding is that you are surrounded by people who truly love you. Not by your mother's distant aunt's children who probably didn't even know you existed till they received the wedding invitation. Small wedding means less people, which means you are only going to invite the people who you really want there.
You Feel Relaxed And Can Be ‘You'
Since your guests know you and your spouse well, there is no hiding your true self from them or pretending to be something you aren't. You can let loose and actually be who you are! If you feel like putting your hands up and dancing, because it is your wedding after all, you can do it! There will be no judging at this wedding.
You Can Spend Time With Your Guests
Unlike a wedding where the guest list is nothing less than 500 people, in your wedding you can actually share a word or two of decent conversation with your guests. They can give you their sincere wishes and you can actually thank them for being there. Plus, a smaller wedding means that you will instantly notice any party crasher! :D
Smaller guest list also means a smaller venue. As such you can pick one that seems just perfect to you. It could even be a destination wedding with at the beach or in the countryside, the choice is yours. A small wedding party is easier to accommodate and make transportation available for. Plus you can customize the entire wedding to represent who you are as a person, no need to stick to the traditional gold and red.
Save Money And Still Have The Best OF Everything
Calling too many people on one's special day can be heavy on the pocket, often, resulting in them having to cut expenses by cutting the quality of décor, food etc. However, the beauty with a small wedding is that you cut down on expenses drastically, plus can also have the best of things since it is only meant for a smaller number of people. You can spend the extra money of perfect honeymoon with your spouse instead.
A Wedding People Will Remember
Big, fat and extravagant weddings are super common. People generally don't remember one from the other. However, a small intimate wedding without the "bing-bang" will be refreshing to everyone and will make your wedding and you stand out from the herd.
So here is why having a small wedding is a better idea in my opinion! If you agree too, then what's stopping you? Unless of course, you are already married :D
