Appetizing And Easy Iftaar Recipe – Keema Samosas
Since the sacred month of Ramadaan is here, Muslims all over the country have begun with their holy fasts. Undoubtedly, the most delightful time of the day during this month is sunset when they break their fast every day after the evening namaz. Termed as Iftaar, this is the time when friends and family meet and celebrate the oncoming of Eid with delicious dishes.
Today, it's time for a delicious Iftaar snack that you can relish with your loved ones. Samosas are any way, one of the most loved snacks in this country. Add to that the flavour of keema and you get yummy keema samosas! Here is an easy and quick recipe of this delicacy. Let's begin!
Grab These Ingredients
2 onions, chopped
250 gm keema
1 tbsp hung curd
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3 cups refined flour
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp of coriander powder
1 tbsp of turmeric powder
1 tbsp of red chilli powder
A piece of ginger, chopped
A handful of dry fruits, chopped
Let's Prepare For Iftaar
Begin with marinating the keema with the ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and curd. Mix well and keep it aside for twenty minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and start frying the chopped onions and ginger. Once they turn golden brown, add the marinated keema and chopped dry fruits. Cook this mixture well and keep the stuffing for your samosa aside to cool.
Add salt to the flour and use oil to make a stiff dough. Pinch small balls from the dough, roll them into small puris and place a little stuffing in the centre. Fold them into the triangular shape of a samosa. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry your keema samosas until they are thoroughly cooked. Serve hot with your favourite dip!
Bonus Tip: You could also use readymade flour wraps for your samosa, in case you too are a lazy chef (like me) ;)
Throwing an Iftaar party? Make sure you've included keema samosas in your menu :)
