Just after you've tightly braided your hair overnight for that perfect beach goddess look, all you need to do to set that look in for an entire day is generously spray your locks with a texturizing hair spray.
Since I'm blessed with sleek, straight hair, I have to rely on a sea salt spray to ensure that my hard work doesn't go in vain in just an hour of stepping out of my house. Things That We Need
A spray bottle
1 cup of hot water
2 teaspoons of Epsom salts
1 teaspoon fresh aloe vera gel
½ teaspoon hair conditioner
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
A few drops of your favourite essential oil
Firstly, Epsom salts are perfect for adding a stiff texture to your tresses so that the curls don't wear out during the day. No points for guessing, the aloe vera gel nourishes your hair. Also, leave out the conditioner if your hair is inherently too limp and oily. And while lemon juice lightens your mane, the essential oil adds a waft of fragrance to your DIY hair spray.
Let's get to making those oh-so-perfect beach-like waves!
Combine all the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well until the Epsom salts dissolve. Store it in the refrigerator and you're sorted for the next few months! You could either wet your hair with this DIY hair spray before scrunching it, or spray a generous quantity after getting those beautiful dreamy curls. Either way, you're all set to rock that out-of-the-beach look, girl ;)
