Salt surely makes our food taste so much better than it already is, but, did you know that salt can be useful apart from its primary purpose? Salt can work wonders in making your daily life a lot easier and better. It's a blessing in disguise, here's how.
-When you're boiling vegetables, poaching eggs, add salt to the boiling water to increase the temperature and thus reducing the cooking time.
-Got wine stains on your carpet? Do not worry, just pour some salt while the stain is still wet and the salt will absorb the wine.
-Use saline water for gargling and relieving a sore throat.
-Get rid of a sticky iron by pouring some salt on a piece of paper and rubbing it on the iron while it's hot. Do not burn your hand in the process; take proper precautions before trying it.
-Dry out muddy footprints on your rug by pouring some salt over it before you vacuum it.
-Add some salt to cold water and soak your household sponges for about ten minutes to refresh them.
