How To: The One-Minute Smokey Eye
Let's be honest, we all love the smokey eye look; but every time we try to do it on ourselves, we completely mess it up! Well, atleast I do. So when I came across this simple one-minute smokey eye tutorial on YouTube by Makeup Geek (Marlena - she's my favourite!) I couldn't help but share the same with you!
Before you get started with your eye makeup, remember that if you have any discolouration around your eyes or if you have dark shadows under your eyes, it is important to cover it up. So begin by priming and concealing the flaws.

There's a fair chance that you may not have the all of the products used to create this look, but you may use any product that comes close or the alternatives that are easily available in India.
[caption id="attachment_7989" align="alignnone" width="430"] The products used in the tutorial were: Maybelline colour tattoo eye-shadows in Rich Mahogany, Makeup Geek eye-shadows in Beaches and Cream and Frappe. Alternatives would be Lakme Color Quartet in Desert Rose Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige[/caption]
1- Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye shadow in Rich Mahogany
2- Makeup Geek Eye shadow in Frappe (alternative: Lakme Eye Color Quartet in Desert Rose)
3- Makeup Geek Eye shadow in Beaches and Cream (alternative: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye shadow in Barely Beige)
Prep your eyes with a good eye primer followed by a concealer before you start. Now, for step one: using a stiff-dome eye-shadow brush, gently apply the Rich Mahogany eye-shadow all over your eyelid being careful not to go over the crease.
Step two is adding drama to the crease! If you're using the Lakme Eye Color Quartet, use the darkest colour of eye-shadow and highlight the crease of your eye by lightly dabbing the shadow in, and blending it across.

Finally, if you have another second to spare, then using an eye-shadow color that's as close to your skin color, (in the video, Marlena used her brand Makeup Geek eye-shadow in Beaches and Cream) highlight the brow bone.
There you have it, the super-easy and super-sexy one-minute smokey eye look!
