The Cookie Layer
All-purpose flour – 1 ¼ cups
Sugar – ¼ cup
Egg – 1
Brown sugar – ½ cup
Chocolate chips – 1 cup
Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon
Butter – Softened, ½ cup
Baking soda – ½ teaspoon
Salt – ½ teaspoon

Brownie Layer
All-purpose flour – ½ cup
Cocoa powder – 1/3 cup
Eggs – 2
Sugar – 1 cup
Baking powder – ¼ teaspoon
Butter – Melted, ½ cup
Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

Method
Begin by preheating your oven to 175 degrees and grease the baking dish generously with butter.
Start with the cookie dough first. In a bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla, and ¼ cup sugar together until mixed well. Add an egg and beat for about 2-3 minutes. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda together. Whisk the wet mixture with the dry mixture gradually until dough is formed. Stir in the chocolate chips. Layer the baking dish with the prepared dough on the bottom to cover it completely.
Now for the brownie, mix sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add the eggs and whisk well. Add the cocoa powder and mix until well-combined. Stir in the flour, baking powder in the mixture until it has combined. Pour the batter over cookie dough and spread cover completely.
Put the dish in the oven and let it bake for about 25 minutes. Once done, let it cool completely before cutting them into bars.
