Show Your Lips Some Love With DIY Natural Lip Balm
While there are a variety of lip balms available in the market, your lips deserve some extra love and care. Apart from resulting in a pretty stain, the readymade tinted lip balm sticks don't actually do much in providing the much-needed moisture to your puckers. That's why it's time we go herbal with our lip care. Here are some DIY natural lip balm recipes that will make sure you have luscious lips all the time!
Note: Beeswax is easily available in online e-shopping stores.
Lip Balm With Essential Oil
Combine 1 spoon of beeswax, and 2 spoons each of coconut oil and shea butter in a bowl. Heat it in the microwave for a few minutes, while stirring it in intervals. When it has melted completely, add a few drops of peppermint essential oil/almond essential oil/chocolate essential oil and mix well. Pour into your lip balm container and leave it to settle.
Rose Lip Balm
Heat 1 spoon of beeswax, and 2 spoons each of coconut oil and shea butter in a bowl to prepare a molten balm. Add a few drops of rosewater to the mixture and mix well to infuse the essence of rose into the ingredients. Now fill your rose lip balm in little containers.
Strawberry Lip Balm
Grind dried strawberries to convert them into a fine powder. Heat 1 spoon of beeswax, and 2 spoons each of coconut oil and shea butter in a bowl. Now add the strawberry powder to the heated mixture but maintain the running consistency. You could strain it to eliminate the large lumps and then preserve it in a lip balm container.
Unflavoured Lip Balm
You could also refrain from adding any extra ingredient apart from the three basic ingredients – beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter. As a matter of fact, coconut oil and shea butter are great moisturizing agents in themselves.
Now that you have your next DIY project at hand, you know what to do this weekend :)
