Harsha and Preeti took to The Brunette Diaries to share an excerpt from their travel diaries and it'd be unfair if we didn't share it with you. Read about the fun they had right here!
Life is meant for good friends and great adventures. We both always wanted to travel and explore new places, but time constraints and work commitments never allowed us to plan a trip. One day, when we were chilling together, we thought why not go for a short trip somewhere in India instead of a long one. Hence, Mussoorie was decided. Tickets were booked at that very moment and we were set.
Known as the "Queen of Hills", Mussoorie is breathtaking. The cold temperature added to the beauty. We stayed at Sterling Resort and the view from our room was to die for.
We did not want to be tourists, we wanted to be travellers and explore the place; so, we had not pre-planned the places we would visit. We explored the place either on foot or in rickshaws, based on the local suggestions. We also had some amazing local food, including the momos and the special Maggi.
We visited Kempty Falls, Mall Road, Company Garden, and Dhanaulti but the place we loved the most was Lal Tibba. The view was serene, the sky was changing colours every moment, and we were truly awestruck by nature's paintbrush.
We visited the local coffee shops and restaurants like Landour Bake House and Kalsang, but one place which is worth mentioning is Maccozy on Mall Road. It's a perfect place to chill with your group of friends and the staff is also very kind and hospitable. A must visit!
A lot of people have apprehensions about two females travelling alone, but we must tell you that it's extremely safe. We think each and every girl should once go on an all-girls trip ;)
Harsha – This trip was a lot of fun and I loved the cold temperature. I think we are going to plan a lot more trips. What say my travel partner?
Preeti – Definitely! I belong to the north but travelling with friends is a different experience all together. Have never explored a place in this light and I think we are well bitten by the travel bug and totally liking the bite ;)
Reminded of your girlfriends? We too!
