Trimming And Haircut Tips For Healthy Hair
I hate when my mom keeps ranting about how I should get my hair trimmed every other month! I want to grow it long and trimming it again and again won't actually help. I know many other women think the same way. But how frequently should you actually head out to the salon for a haircut? Perhaps it's time for The Brunette Diaries to answer such questions. So, shall we?
For Short Hair
Maintaining short hair is tricky when it comes to haircuts since you need to keep your style on point at all times. A time period of about 3-7 weeks is advisable for women with short hair since waiting too long would allow your locks to grow out. However, things also depend on how fast your hair grows.
Curly-haired women have the advantage of visiting the salon at their own leisure, probably even after 12 weeks. This is because curls don't usually look out of shape during their growing out period. However, ask your salon stylist to trim just half an inch if you grow your curls long.
For Straight Hair
Women with sleek straight locks need not be in a hurry to chop off their hair if it's in great condition. TBD advises you to invest your time in deep conditioning treatments if you want to skip a haircut and grow your locks long.
For Layered Hair
If your hair has well-defined steps or layers, you need to follow the six-week rule since you need to allow your face-framing layers to maintain their cut. If your hair grows out, unfortunately your locks will look lacklustre.

P. S. – Always instruct your stylist about the approximate length that you need to chop off before your hair wash.
