World Book Day: Books To Top Your Reading List
2017 has treated bookworms so well that we couldn't stop reading our eyes out day and night. From The Hearts Invisible Furies to Turtles All The Way Down, a lot of books were a page-turner, which not only took us to the amazing world of fantasy but also left us intrigued enough about what-happens-next!
If not books, then what we would have done in our free time? Or, just to avoid people during our commute while we are way home. People say dogs are man's best friend, but books are like buddies. No matter how we feel, how bad the mood is, a good book will never disappoint you, and it will take you to the world of perfection chapter by chapter.
What an introvert would do if someone didn't introduce us to the magical world of characters and plotlines?!
Well, as we celebrate World Book Day today, we are here to share some of the amazing books you should start reading on the occasion of celebrating nothing but the world of words.
Little Fires Everywhere
The fictional story of the family living in Ohio back in the 1990s is a young adult book, which shares the story of a family. Also adapted as TV miniseries, Little Fires Everywhere is nothing but a family drama, which later turns out to be a life lesson for the characters.
Warcross
Based on an online game by the same name, Emily ends up becoming a bounty hunter, killing the people who play illegally. Emily's life takes a topsy-turvy turn when she's been asked by the makers of the game to join the team as a spy.
David and Goliath
If you are up for some non-fiction words to skim through, David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell will strike the right chord with the readers. The book contains many different stories of the underdogs who wind up beating the odds.
We Are Okay
Again a young adult book, We Are Okay is one achingly beautifully written novel, which shares the story of loneliness and friendship. Written by Nina LaCour, We Are Okay has kept winning hearts of a larger audience in 2018 as well. This one would surely be a good one to start your day!
Everything I Never Told You
Again, author Celeste Ng weaves magic through her words. The writer took 6 years to complete her debut, and it stayed at the top of the Amazon Book Of the Year list, beating the famous writers. Based on the Chinese-American family, this one is surely a good read for all the drama lovers.
Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck
Still ruling the reading list of many, this one will not only teach you what the title says but also give you a counteractive approach towards leading a new life. Nothing better than a self-help book to start on, right?
The Hate You Give
Young adult novels are something we can never get bored of! The Hate You Gave follows a protagonist drawn to activism after she witnesses the police shooting of her unarmed friend.
All The Crooked Saints
All the Crooked Saints is a stand-alone magical realism novel from best-selling author Maggie Stiefvater. Its a period tale about family, love, and redemption.
